During clear sky ^{(0.001 lux)} or cloudy sky ^{(0.0001 lux)} 250 meter is retain provided that the IR is turn on and having an external IR with more power can help.

During Quarter Moon ^{(0.01 lux)}, the IR needs to be enable or turn on in order to obtain 250 meters aiming range.   I do find the LN-PRS40 4x100m night vision riflescope is a very reasonable products in general.
