Sigma 18-250mm Lens
The SIGMA 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM incorporates Sigma’s original
anti-shake compensation function, with a 13.8 times zoom ratio.
As opposed to having an anti-shake function in the camera body, this
lens’s Hybrid Optical Stabilizer provides not only an anti-shake
function for the camera body, but also compensates for image shaking
in the view finder as the Optical Stabilizer is built in to the lens.
Incorporating four Special Low Dispersion glass elements and three
aspherical lens elements provides excellent image quality throughout
the entire zoom range.
Photo was taken May 2, 2009 evening around 8:45 PM and the shot
was taken through a glass display, across more or less 20 meters
from inside another shop.
Which is why there is a ghost like arc running from right to left.

The same photo as above, but have focused more on the lady subject
more and as you seen above it is not so bad, but not good enough
for Prints.

Sigma 18-250mm (Stabilized Lens) DC OS HSM
not so heavy compared to a Sigma 24mm f1.8 lens and not so
noisy compared to the Sigma 55-200mm lens.
Image quality is pretty much good compared to a Sigma 28-300mm
F3.5-6.3 DG Macro lens which is also a pretty new piece in the
market (as of this writing).

Comments
This is a very reliable Lens which is able to
produce quality images for the amateur photographer
like me
being a Stabilized Lens, this Sigma 18-250mm
is able to effectively reduce those shadow like
images when shooting at 1/25 sec. at night as seen
in the sample here-in
