Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG Macro Lens
|
Budget Packed Lens
This is an interesting compact lens for digital SLR cameras like
Canon, Nikon and so on.
Which covers an average wide angle to 300mm telephoto, which is good
for capturing wild life related images.
Macro photography with a 1:3 ratio
Sigma 28-300mm is what Sigma called "do-everything" lens. With a zoom ratio of nearly 11x it covers everything from wide angle on a full frame sensor to long telephoto on a cropped sensor. Autofocus, in this more budget placed lens, lacks the refinement of a sonic motor and although the motor can be heard, the noise is not obtrusive and the action is quite quick.
The 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG MACRO lens has a minimum focusing distance
of 50cm at all focal lengths and is equipped with a macro mechanism
for close-up photography at 300mm telephoto, allowing a reproduction
ratio of 1:3.
Comment
Similar to the Sigma 70-300mm DG Macro and the only difference is the wide angle range, plus the physical barrel length and size, filter size.
Generally, i would recommend this Sigma 28-300mm DG Macro lens as it
does offer a great deal of range & is ideal for daytime outdoor
photography related activities or anywhere there's a significant
source of light to work with.
