Clarion
Clarion was a 3rd generation programming language that had implemented a ROLL-BACK process that involves a Parent-Child transaction during the 1980's. Where, data will only be permanently stored on Tables or Databases when a complete Commit process had succeeded else nothing will be write to the Tables or Databases at all.
First version was release in the mid 1980's and this was an Interpreter base, where you get to run or execute your codes and work with the results (application) with in the developing environment. Then followed by Clarion for DOS, where the last version was 3.1 with a DOS extender (so that you can access beyond 64KB of based memory but not more than 1MB).
The latest version runs on Windows XP/ME/Vista and Clarion had provided Templates that will allow you to produce PHP scripts for the Web, this was present with version Clarion 6.0 for Windows. Clarion also supports SQL during the early 90's as well.
The sample codes and topics here-in are those I would like to share to the general public. Clarion during the 90's was one of preferred choice for developing POS (Point-Of-Sale) applications for retailers.
