The KOWA provided a beautiful, sharp, vibrant image, perhaps slightly brighter than the Swarovski's and it's small focusing knob on the prism housing was more conveniently located.

The new ZOOM eyepiece again is another story by itself.   It has good eye relief in all powers.

Focussing is said to be much faster with KOWA TSN-824.

Now you can concentrate on the details and capture the picture at just the right moment. The DC4 is an optical observation eyepiece with an integrated digital camera for the Diascope spotting scopes. Shockproof, impact resistant, sealed against water spray, and solidly armored with rubber, the DC4 is made for easy handling ... even when the weather puts up a fuss.

Specs :

  • 1,460mm (40x) with 85mm Diascope
  • 1,120mm (30x with 65mm Diascope
  • 4 mega pixel
  • 2-inch display
  • Dx0 software for optimal adjustments of images
  • Retractable eyecups and diopter compensation on eyepiece
  • Remote control with 2 batteries

Note:

One critical point, however, is that the DC4 cannot function without the remote control. Having the remote control is a great benefit for reducing image blur, but if it gets misplaced there is no option to operate the DC4 independently.     Likewise, if the batteries on the remote die, your digiscoping system is down.
